I am currently sitting in the Olympic Sculpture Park, photographing the mountains at the other side of the Puget Sound. MLIW.
I just landed in Seattle. MLIW.
I attended a Dar Williams and Sara Watkins concert last Friday night. Most of my peers were at the Rascal Flatts concert. I judged them harshly for their poor taste in music and happily enjoyed my neo-feminist folk and contemporary bluegrass. MLIW.

Today, I realized that I have more gay male friends than straight male friends. MLIW.
I have just finished packing excitedly for a trip to the Pacific Northwest that will involve sipping coffee in Seattle, staying in a mountain meadow cabin in Olympic National Park, hiking at Mount Rainier, the highest peak of the Cascade Range, and visiting Portland, the American city with the highest proportion of residents who bike to work. Today, I lamented the fact that I still fail to own an Apple computer.  I then promptly browsed Facebook and Twitter on my two portable Apple devices and three (unfortunately) Microsoft-endowed computers. MLIW.
Today, I made course selections for my first semester of university.  Every one of my selected courses concerns the humanities. MLIW.
Today I wore a necklace fairly traded from Kenya. I love ethnic accessories. MLIW.
This morning, I drank iced coffee and listened to Bob Dylan on CD. I lamented the fact that he would have sounded more authentic on a record player. MLIW.

As I walked to the mailbox today, I was concerned about global climate change. I then entered my heavily air-conditioned house and googled pictures of polar bears until I forgot what I was upset about. MLIW.
Today I felt bad for wearing make-up because I feared I was oppressing myself. MLIW.
Today I apologized. MLIW.
Today I received a MacBook Pro to be used at a small, public, liberal arts college, where I will be majoring in French history. MLIW.
